NeLeMy’s Mobile Lab
During my travels along the streets and on the buses within the New Haven county area I have seen and spoken with many homeless, displaced, and distressed people who are in their current situation for a variety of reasons. I have come to understand that most individuals are not happy with their current situation and want to be better and do better. However, because they were mistreated so much by various people, agencies, organizations and churches, they slumped into a feeling that they couldn’t do better and so they don't. My heart aches for them because they have been abused by society to the point where they feel that their hope and dignity is nonexistent.
NeLeMy's is a mobile unit designed to provide a place for the homeless, displaced, or distressed, to feel a sense of dignity, warmth and love. We are not trying to take over what many agencies and programs are doing during daytime hours. We simply want to help in the after hours and weekends when the agencies are full and programs are closed. We will provide a clean warm place to freshen up, a change of clothes and under garments as well as hygiene supplies and resource information. We will also provide mental health and general medical evaluation for individuals. We will have the proper resources for all individuals so they can get the help they have a right to receive. We will also supply blankets and pillows until we can get sleeping bags and individual tents to help protect them from the outside elements.

6pm-1am (winter hours)
8:30pm-1am (summer hours)
Every Saturday & Sunday we will be at designated stationary sites from:
2pm-8pm
